A Meiji-period Japanese wooden merchant chest in dark wood with iron hardware, measuring 71.5 cm wide, 55 cm high and 43 cm deep, featuring an upper drawer, a lower sliding-compartment area, and a right-side square door concealing four stacked drawers, with carrying handles and reinforced corner fittings, in good condition with minor age-related wear and accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity from Mastromauro Japanese Art Gallery.
