W. ELLIS (BRITISH 19TH CENTURY) SNOWSCAPE WITH CHURCH Signed (lower left) 49.5 x 39.5cm (19¼ x 15½in.) The canvas does not appear to be lined and has slackened slightly in the stretcher. Fine craquelure is present across the image but the surface appears to be stable overall. Inspection under UV reveals some small scattered areas of retouching. The work presents an uneven, discoloured varnish and light surface dirt. ADDITIONAL IMAGES: Please ' Ask a Question' to request additional images for this set.
