The brass-bound red lacquered case decorated with a gilt bird perched on prunus branches, with black counting beads 31 cm wide; another set with black beads, brass bound ebonised frame, retailed by the Wang Hing, Abacus Manufactory, Hong Kong, bearing label, 25.3 cm. wide. Condition: Ebonised example - slight flaking and scratching to surface. Red lacquered cased example - case with some surface flaking.
